PSA: Spell It Out

Food allergies are real and life-threatening. Reactions can happen to anyone, anytime. Talk to your doctor or school nurse about signs & symptoms of anaphylaxis. Filmed at P.S 142 in New York’s Lower East Side, “Spell It Out” is a public service announcement starring actual students from the NYC public school system who all have food allergies themselves. The video is aimed at school children and their caregivers that addresses several key concepts about food allergies that are often misunderstood. The objective is to point out the dangers of food allergies, in the voices of relatable children. Partner organizations also included the Elijah-Alavi Foundation, the Natalie Giorgi Foundation, AllergyStrong and Change for Kids. To learn more about the Spell it Out PSA collaborative, click here.
