Sea Girt 5K drew almost 2,000 runners last Saturday

"SEA GIRT — Red t-shirts and red shoes flooded the Sea Girt Plaza on Saturday as approximately 2,000 runners crossed the Sea Girt 5K finish line. With rain storms travelling through the area Friday night into early Saturday morning, the race crew was nervous about the conditions on Saturday. “We were a little nervous, but it ended up being perfect at the end of the day. We were setting up in the rain, and everybody still came out, rain or shine, to help set up. We had no rain for the race, which was amazing. We dodged a bullet, and I think it turned out great,” said race organizer Michael D’Altrui."
