Postponement Leads To Perfect Conditions For Eighth Annual Quogue Field Club Teen Triathlon
"Torrential downpours postponed the original date of Quogue Field Club’s eighth annual Teen Triathlon from Saturday to Sunday, and what a difference a day made; the teens woke up to pleasant conditions on Sunday morning to enjoy a clean running of the race.
The triathlon began with a quarter-mile swim in Penniman Creek right off the docks of Shinnecock Yacht Club, followed by a 7-mile bike ride through the surrounding neighborhood, and ending with a 2-mile run, with the finish line on the grounds of the field club."
