"A sea of red sneakers can be seen throughout the halls of Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach. They aren’t part of the school uniform. Instead, they are worn to honor the life of a former fifth-grade student, Oakley Debbs.
Oakley, who had asthma and had tested positive for a mild peanut and tree nut allergy, died unexpectedly during Thanksgiving break from anaphylactic shock after inadvertently consuming a walnut. He was 11."
