RSFO X EAT - AWARENESS FOR A CURE

End Allergies Together  (EAT)  mission is to end food allergies by directly funding the scientists seeking treatments and ultimately, cures.  We are grateful to work together with RSFO to support each other’s efforts in education, awareness and funding critical research for this growing epidemic.  Together we can make a difference!

RSFO X KEEP SMILIN' FOR ABBIE

When we discovered that Keep Smilin' for Abbie teamed up with the Wyss Institute to create the first wearable, non-invasive device that could detect the onset of anaphylaxis signs, we were ecstatic to support their efforts.

Project Abbie is inspired by the story of Abbie Benford, who succumbed to complications related to anaphylaxis just eight days before her 16th birthday. The Wyss Institute, in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital, is developing a wearable, non-invasive device that could sense anaphylaxis and automatically inject epinephrine in individuals who are unable to do so themselves; a device that could have saved Abbie’s life.

RSFO X FAACT - FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS

FAACT is proud to partner with us to further our mission to educate, advocate, and raise awareness for all individuals affected by food allergies and life-threatening anaphylaxis.

RSFO X FARE

Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) works on behalf of the 15 million Americans with food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. This potentially deadly disease affects 1 in every 13 children in the U.S. – or roughly two in every classroom. FARE’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the health of individuals with food allergies, and to provide them hope through the promise of new treatments.

RSFO X LIFE SAFETY SOLUTIONS

Life Safety Solutions is pleased to partner with Red Sneakers for Oakley in support of Oakley’s family and their mission. We are all parents at Life Safety Solutions, and the story of Oakley affected us deeply. We pledge to assist in any capacity so that the unimaginable loss of a child due to a severe allergic reaction doesn’t ever have to happen again. Because elements of our core business (first aid training, emergency epinephrine access) relate directly to Red Sneakers for Oakley’s cause, we feel our partnership is a natural one, and we are grateful to the Debb’s family for reaching out to us.

RSFO X F.A.T.E

FATE is a high-impact educational forum on the severity of food-related allergies causing anaphylaxis. Started by the Salmingo family, in honor of Joanna Salmingo, the forum contains research-based facts and information led by medical professionals and includes the analysis of diet and lifestyle choices that we make and take for granted, every single day. Most importantly, the forum will include epinephrine injection training, how-to and what to do, action & reaction, life-saving tactics as well as general education for present day living.

Because it is necessary.
Because IT IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH.

RSFO X ALLERGIC LIVING

Under the leadership of Editor Gwen Smith, Allergic Living offers engaging and always helpful articles on topics including parenting allergic children, school and college accommodations, psychological issues, the latest medical research, as well as traveling and dining out with food allergies.

TRACY BUSH | NUTRIMOM

Tracy Bush runs a blog called Nutrimom. She’s a Food Allergy Consultant who strives to bridge the gap between the time someone is diagnosed with a food allergy, and where their new journey into the world of allergy-friendly foods begins. A proud RSFO supporter, Tracy offers information and support as a professional, a food-allergic mother, and as a person who has years of experience in dealing with food allergies. She is certified in BioIndividual Nutrition, and has used her knowledge to write a great book called The Stepping Stones to Food Allergies. J.J. VULOPAS | THE LAND OF CAN

We love supporting young people who actively contribute to today’s food allergy discussion while making an effort to spread awareness. J.J. Vulopas is a college senior at The Wharton School who lives with life-threatening food allergies and started a blog to take action. He’s also the author of The Land of NOT, a children’s book he wrote “to help kids with food allergies discover their strengths,” he explains. The message behind The Land of Not, is to, as one veteran educator said, "inspire, empower and transform every child, [helping them] understand their possibilities rather than define themselves by their limitations.”

ROBYN O’BRIEN | THE UNHEALTHY TRUTH

A former financial and food industry analyst, Robyn O’Brien triggered an allergic reaction in the food industry when she asked: “Are we allergic to food or what’s been done to it?”

She has been called “food’s Erin Brockovich” by Bloomberg and the New York Times. From a conservative Texas family, Robyn earned an MBA on a full scholarship from Rice University, graduating as the top woman in her class before going to work as a financial analyst that covered the food industry. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington and Lee, where she was also Phi Beta Kappa.

JESSICA GRAY SCHIPP | ALLERGIC TO EVERYTHING

#AllergicToEverything is a cookbook and lifestyle guide for people with food allergies and the people who love them. #AllergicToEverything was created for people with food allergies, but the book’s benefits extend to everyone! The recipes are whole-foods based and delicious.  The book is split into two main sections – the guide (for navigating life with one or more food allergies) and the recipes (including both recipes for food and your home).  All #AllergicToEverything® recipes are free from gluten, wheat, corn, oats, eggs, shellfish, sesame, and soy.  The recipes are tailored to be flexible, including modifications for a diet and lifestyle free of the top eight major food allergens, including nuts and dairy.  Whether you are allergic to nuts (one of the top eight) or a vegetarian, you will find that the recipes are easily adaptable to your dietary restrictions.

Jess was diagnosed with multiple food allergies in 2010 and her journey was extremely challenging. Having no idea how to start navigating her new life, she wrote the book because she needed a one-stop resource to help manage the dangerous complications of food allergies. Eating has always been a simple task for most people but becomes scary and painful for the food allergy community. Jess’ experience, her trials and tribulations, and her time spent on this endeavor are what make this book so incredibly valuable to the food allergy community. This campaign funds the first print-run of #AllergicToEverything.
